AUTUMN FORUM 2010

 This year's Autumn Forum will be held in Ullapool from Friday 1st October to Sunday 3rd October.

"All Change Here for the Future"

 Though a small community of around 1300, Ullapool is the largest settlement for miles and has no less than three PAN members promoting arts events - The Ceilidh Place, The Macphail Centre, and Ullapool Arts - all of whom attended the Spring Forum.

Perfectly placed to link  the north west of Scotland (Sutherland and Caithness) to the west of Scotland (Wester Ross) while providing the ferry point to the Outer Hebrides, it is home to several festivals, including Loopallu, the Book Festival and the Guitar Festival. This year's conference is about the future of rural performing arts in a time of fundamental changes in the cultural and economic landscape.

What strategies can we use to sustain promoting in our rural venues?  Come along and find out!  There'll be sessions to interest, provoke and enthuse you.

Guest speakers confirmed so far include Vicky Featherstone, Artistic Director of the National Theatre of Scotland and producer Chloe Dear (Iron Oxide, Conflux, Edinburgh Mela). Venu Dhupa, Creative Scotland's Creative Director with responsibility for Touring, will be joining us for Saturday night's dinner at Ullapool Village Hall.

Fully paid up Full and Associate PAN Members are entitled to one FREE place. Additional places will cost:

     Full Member – Voluntary      £45         Assoc. Member      £60             

     Full Member – Professional   £60         Non Member         £70

Note: Volunteer organisations can claim travel expenses for the forum to a maximum of £70. Claim forms will be available at the Forum.
